Young people will consider what stress is, what the causes are and what they can do to help themselves to reduce stress. This session supports young people to reflect on their personal journeys with their mental wellbeing and consider the impact of stress on society and their peers. This session with provide young people with practical strategies to use and a deeper understand of how stress builds.

In this workshop young people will learn what it means to be resilient, how building resilience can help them in many areas of life and what things they can do to build up their own resilience as well as supporting each others. They will consider the changes they have gone through or will go through in life, from covid, to moving on from school, new friendships and changes in their family dynamics. They will come up with personalised strategies to build up their resilience

This workshop is aimed at young people who struggle managing their anger and are prone to conflict and works best with smaller groups. Young people will learn about different emotions and how they may present as anger and different triggers for this anger. They will be encouraged to reflect on their own anger and consider what their own triggers are and what the underlying emotions behind this might be trying to tell them. They will then explore coping strategies they can use to prevent, reduce or defuse anger. They will consider how anger and conflict are linked and what strategies they can use to control their Anger in a positive way to prevent or reduce conflict.

This workshop gives young people an overview of mindfulness, what it is and how it can work for them. We explore well known mindfulness techniques such as meditation, breathing and colouring in. We then look further in to everyday mindfulness and how mindfulness doesn’t have to be something separate they do, but rather an element of the things they are already doing in their day, such as meal times, walking to school or college
