This workshop provides a brief history of voting rights in the uk, including movements like the suffragettes and the pioneers. We look at the rights of the child and the young people will then consider how their lives may be different without these rights. The session concludes with young people thinking about their own place in politics and how they can use their voice. 

This workshop explores the history of protest and the place of protest in modern life, from climate activism to anti war. Young people will be facilities to discuss and even debate on topics they are passionate about and consider what powers are at play to prevent certain changes becoming reality and what powers power they have to impact change. 

This session explores successful activism and peaceful protest. The young people will come together to think of an issue they are passionate about and eager to see change. They will then be supported to consider what style of activism would have the most impact, whether that’s a social media campaign, letter writing or protesting. 

This workshop gives an overview of feminism and celebrates some of the iconic feminists that have helped the movement over the decades. Young people will learn what it means to be a feminist and why this isn’t just a movement for women. Young people will be empowered to make positive changes in their own lives to live in a more equitable way. 

This session explores how fake news spreads, why people use it as a tool for political gain and how it can be spotted. It covers the use of AI, deep fakes, photoshop and social media.
